Employment Status: Part-time
Hourly Rate: Starting at $15.00
Work Location: In-person – Based on Site Location
Dates: September 22, 2026 – May 28, 2027;  Monday – Friday
Hours: Varies based on site
Camp Staffing: Average 12:1 camper to adult ratio

Offer Conditions:
Hiring
: Dependent on FBI Background, Child Abuse, Criminal Background, National Sex Offender
Report, and Mandated Reporter Training (The organization will reimburse cost of clearances).
Work Schedule: Must be able to work the summer camp dates five days a week.

After School Sites:
PPS Concord: 3:45 pm - 6:30 pm
PPS Miller: 2:45 pm - 6:30 pm
PPS Roosevelt: 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm
PPS Arsenal: 3:15 pm - 6:30 pm
PPS Woolslair: 3:45 pm - 6:30 pm

Neighborhood Learning Alliance Afterschool Program:
The K-5 Little Warriors Afterschool Program is designed to empower students to embrace their genius, establish a sense of community, and explore learning activities that enhance their health and well-being. This is done through active play, project-based learning, and enriched learning experiences. Staff will lead students in academic enrichment, arts, STEM, and community building activities. In addition, staff members will create a safe and welcoming environment. 

Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the mission and core values of the Organization are put into practice
  • Implement the After School model
  • Develop students’ skills and interest in Reading and STEM
  • Assist with the overall planning and implementation of the daily programming and activities
  • Assist with daily procedures and program structures
  • Manage student attendance and activities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe program space
  • Develop and support children’s academic and social-emotional needs
  • Attend team meetings as assigned
  • Perform other duties assigned for which the employee is qualified and physically able to perform. Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; Some college experience preferred.
  • Experience in (or currently studying): education, social work, public service, health careers, nonprofits.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate professional responsibilities 
  • Passion to serving the community and ensuring student success
  • Basic knowledge of using technology (computers, iPad, tablets, projector, etc.)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable communicating with elementary school students and families
  • Experience working with diverse populations
